Describe yourself in one sentence.

An artist lucky enough to have turned their passion into a fulfilling everyday reality.

What is your chosen medium(s) and why?

Primarily spray paint & acrylic. I use these mediums because they are quick and efficient and very versatile to enable me to paint just about anything.

What/who inspires you?

Inspiration comes from many places and people throughout my life, but ultimately, it’s not so much who inspires me as what drives me—and that “what” is something I still can’t fully explain. It feels like there’s a subconscious force inside me that’s always needed to create. While outside influences come and go, that inner drive has always been there. It’s deeply fulfilling to see the things I’ve made shape the world around me, even if I can't quite put into words where the impulse comes from.

Tell us the backstory of your exhibition.

Art and animals have always been my two biggest passions, so for this exhibition, I wanted to bring them together. I created a series of works featuring Australian-themed animals, with the aim of not just celebrating wildlife, but also making a real impact. All sales from the exhibition will go towards funding a mural at an animal rescue space. The goal is to raise awareness for the animals in care and bring a bit of brightness to the space—for both the animals and the volunteers who work so hard looking after them. I know how rewarding but also how tough that work can be.

What do you want people to take away from your exhibition?

I’d love for people to walk away with a deeper appreciation for the amazing animals we’re surrounded by every day. They’re such an important part of our world, and I hope this exhibition helps shine a light on just how valuable they really are.

Who are your favourite artists?

Mostly my friends/local artists that surround me, as we all know Melbourne is an incredible space to be in as a creative. I couldn’t say I have favourites but if I had to name a say 5 of my incredibly talented friends that come to mind I would say: John Murray, Ruskidd, Planet Chehehe, Manda Lane & Conrad Square

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Waking up early with a coffee in hand excited to paint.
