Be Bold Festival - Celebrating the arts in Melbourne's west

NAM2930

We are big. We are bold. We are Brimbank.

Brimbank will come alive on Saturday 3 October as the Be Bold Festival returns to St Albans, bringing together a vibrant program celebrating the many cultures, creativity and connections that make Brimbank unique.

This free, all-ages festival offers something for everyone, with live music and performances, art, interactive workshops, children’s activities, bilingual story time, delicious food and cultural experiences throughout the day.

The festival will kick off with an exciting line-up of cultural performances, featuring Djarlo Dancers, PICAA, Pearl Afrikulture Rhythms, Wiradjuri singer-songwriter Ruby Mae, L2R Dance and MC Candy Bowers.

At the Bowery Theatre, audiences can enjoy a special program including the Resonate Acoustic: Youth Music Showcase, a weaving workshop with Mata’ala Pasifika Weave Mamas and Dance Lab Live with Sheena Chundee.

Food lovers can take a culinary journey around the world, with global flavours, cooking demonstrations and the popular St Albans Food Tour. Families can also get creative with immersive art, lantern-making, nature art and other hands-on activities.

Art lovers can explore Marc Sorbello’s Colourful Stories exhibition in the Bowery Gallery, before enjoying an evening of entertainment featuring DJ Prince Zade, The Huxleys and a spectacular Lantern Parade, celebrating the mid-Autumn (Full Moon) Festival.

Come along, bring your family and friends and be part of the celebration.
