Asmin, a newly arrived Turkish refugee is struggling with schooling in a new place.
Through an unexpected glitch in time, she meets Victoria-era mathematician Ada Lovelace. These two girls find commonality through their love of mathematics and experiences and in this imagined world, Ada is able to see the fruition of her mathematical ideas – the computer – while Asmin finds her way through loneliness to a new-found verve for learning.
We also explore how far we have come in education rights for girls, how far we have to go and what world-altering shifts occur when we allow girls to fulfil their full potential.
