Get ready for the all new youth-led (12 - 25 years) LGBTQIA+ play.

Ida the Hobit and the Crystal Queer Deers is the story of Ida, a young person who starts her journey not quite understanding the LGBTQIA+ community. She does something drastic at a friend’s birthday party, which she deeply regrets. As a result of this, Ida gets turned into a hobbit and must help her deer friends on their own journeys of self-discovery, as they each explore their LGBTQIA+ identities.

This theatre production is produced in an exciting collaboration between local young people; the Crystal Queer program run through Brimbank Youth Services; the Brimbank Youth Arts program from Creative Brimbank; the Brimbank FReeZA Committee; and the Duke Street Community House.

It will premiere at The Bowery Theatre on Friday, 15th November 2024, in celebration of Transgender Awareness Week.
