The health and safety of our community is paramount. In preparation for the reopening of St Albans Community Centre (STACC) including the Bowery Theatre, we are doing everything we can to ensure a responsible and safe return to our venue. Here, at STACC, our team is always looking out for you! STACC is a COVID Safe venue. We have introduced strict safety and hygiene measures in line with Victoria’s Department of Health and Human Services guidelines to prevent the transmission of COVID-19. We continue to regularly monitor all government updates to ensure our procedures reflect current directives.

Please note that the safety measures below may be updated, so please check this page again prior to your visit. To make your experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible, we ask that you take your time to read the information below to best prepare you for your visit to STACC. Help us keep everyone safe by supporting our COVID-Safe plan.

If you feel unwell
Please do not visit if have experienced cold or flu like symptoms, are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, or have returned from overseas or have been in an outbreak area listed here. Stay home and take care.

Masks
Updated 18 February 2021
: Masks are now mandatory inside any Council venues including the Bowery Theatre, St Albans Community Centre, Sunshine Art Spaces, and the Hunt Club, unless you have a medical exemption. Please keep your exemption with you. Masks can only be removed for eating, drinking or talking to hearing impaired persons.

Register at entry for Contact Tracing
All visitors are required by law to provide contact information for contact tracing if your visit is longer than 15 minute. We have QR codes at entry so you can register with your phone. Please speak to a staff member if you need assistance.

Good hygiene
Please use hand sanitiser provided at entry and throughout the site or wash your hands for at least 20 - 30 seconds with hot water and soap (in bathrooms). Cough and sneeze into your elbow while wearing your mask.

Physical distancing
Please practise physical distancing at all times. Avoid congregating in public areas, queue wherever indicated and always follow instructions from staff. Pay attention to signs and physical distancing floor markers to guide you safely around the venue.

Attending a performance
Prior to arrival, download your eTicket and have it ready on your mobile phone for scanning. If you do not have access to email, our box office team will assist you, but please keep interactions to a minimum. The box office will open 30-minutes before each event.

Reduced Venue Capacity

Updated 18 February 2021: The Bowery Theatre is currently operating at 50% of capacity. Patrons will not be socially distanced from other audience members within the theatre, we will continue to seat you with your booking group. Masks are required. Please note that this capacity condition may change in the future.

Ticketing

Go digital and help to minimise the handling of physical items at the theatre, by choosing 'eTickets sent via email' when you book online.

We have updated our terms and conditions to meet COVID-safety guidelines. Please refer to this for our ticket returns policy. Our presenting partners may have their own returns policy. Check partner websites for details.

If you need to exchange your tickets to another performance because you have experienced any coronavirus symptoms in the past 14 days, or are awaiting the results of a COVID-19 test, please stay home and contact us up to 1 hour in advance of your scheduled performance so we can assist you.

Cloak room facilities - none
To avoid the handling of your personal items, please avoid bringing large bags or other bulky items to the theatre. Large bags and equipment will not be permitted in theatre.

Food and drink
If the café is open during your visit, please take your seat in the auditorium or move outside after purchasing a drink or snack.

Cashless payments only
We encourage you to pay by card if purchasing tickets at the box office, to help minimise the handling of physical items at the venue. Please bring a credit or debit card for any onsite purchases, as we accept cashless payments only.

Travelling to STACC
We encourage travelling outside of peak hours.

Accessibility
We are committed to making STACC accessible to all patrons. If you have any access requirements or questions, please contact us ahead of your visit.

Enhanced daily cleaning
We have implemented enhanced cleaning procedures across the venue. This includes regular cleaning of high-touch surfaces throughout the day. Please be mindful of high traffic areas and keep touching to a minimum.

Please note, patrons who do not comply with these conditions or follow the instructions of our staff will be refused entry and asked to leave to ensure the safety of all visitors, artists, and staff.
