Light Magic is a video projection piece which presents an ever-shifting composition of colours and shapes formed from light and camera. Preserving a perception of light that we can’t see with our naked eye and keeping it in digital pixels. A magical-appearing mix of vibrant colours and shapes cascade across the architecture, appearing, mixing, and disappearing in a constant state of digital flux. Knowing that curiosity is an intrinsic and important part of our lives, Miranda's artwork aims to spark the joy of curiosity and imagination in its viewers. Miranda's art is created with a purposeful prescriptive void, exploring the exciting realm of ambiguity that allows for viewers to enjoy and interpret art as they go on the journey of visually deciphering it. There is no ‘correct’ answer or interpretation, it is to be experienced and felt.
Miranda Smith is a Hong Kong and Naarm/Melbourne based light artist working with installation, digital print, sculpture, and painting.
