Helena Guina is a Melbourne-based visual artist working primarily across painting and mixed media. Raised in St Albans with Croatian heritage, her practice explores memory, emotional landscapes, and the tension between vulnerability and resilience. Her recent works move from monochrome palettes into expressive pinks, reflecting a personal shift toward softness, healing, and grounded feminine energy. Helena’s paintings often emerge from autobiographical moments, using rhythm, texture, and layered colour to translate internal states into physical form. Her creative process is intuitive and reflective, shaped by lived experiences within Melbourne’s western suburbs and her connection to community, identity, and belonging. She has previously collaborated on public art projects, including a mural with Heesco in St Albans, and continues to develop a body of work that speaks to emotional honesty and cultural complexity. Helena aims to create art that invites viewers into deeper feeling, reflection, and connection.
