Primary Artistic Discipline: Visual Arts
Maria Petrova is an artist living and working in Melbourne's western suburbs. Her practice focuses primarily on portraiture, exploring themes of memory, nostalgia, and the inner lives of her subjects. Working predominantly in drawing, she is increasingly expanding her practice into installation, ceramics, and printmaking. Maria is also a volunteer with Satellite Projects, a not-for-profit arts organisation dedicated to supporting emerging, underrepresented, and unrepresented artists.
