Ostralishe Kapelye is a Klezmer quartet specialising in secular Jewish wedding music from Eastern Europe. Our music accompanies a diverse range of dances rooted in the Yiddish tradition. Most of our repertoire is lively, groovy and perfect for celebratory occasions of all sorts. Our rapturous sounds are bound to get your toes tapping! Ostralishe Kapelye is a proud supporter of live music in the west. Our recent engagements include being featured at the 2025 Newport Folk Festival, entertaining shoppers outside Big SAM as part of a Brimbank council initiative and busking at other local markets. We have performed at several music venues around Melbourne and also at prominent Jewish community festivals, such as the Pillars of Light Chanukah celebration hosted yearly at Federation Square.
