Be part of the Curatorial and Activation Advisory Group (CAAG) for the proposed Clarke Street Arts Hub in Sunshine!
The Clarke Street Arts Hub is a significant community infrastructure project in central Sunshine. Supported by State Government investment, the project forms part of the broader transformation of Sunshine and contributes to the long-term vision for Sunshine as Melbourne’s second CBD. As part of the development of the Clarke Street Arts Hub, Council officers worked with Sandbox Consulting to undertake an Investment Logic Mapping (ILM) process. A recommendation arising from this work was the establishment of a Curatorial and Activation Advisory Group (CAAG) to provide specialist advice and guidance on the artistic vision, programming and activation of the precinct.
The CAAG will provide strategic and specialist advice to Council on the curatorial direction, cultural activation and ongoing development of the Clarke Street Arts Hub. External membership will seek to bring together relevant expertise and perspectives across areas including the arts, creative industries, education and other relevant sectors.
External membership will be supplemented by relevant Council officers, including the Arts and Culture Coordinator and Visual and Public Art Senior Officer. Selected members of the Brimbank Arts Advisory Committee may also participate, bringing both arts sector expertise and local knowledge to the group.
