Expressions of Interest open 6 October until 3 November 2025
Brimbank City Council is seeking an artist to develop a mural design inspired by Leigh Bowery. The artwork will be digitally reproduced as a vinyl wrap on ACM panels and installed on the exterior wall of the Bowery Theatre and St Albans Community Centre.
The Bowery Theatre is named in honour of the late artist Leigh Bowery, who grew up locally and went on to have a remarkable impact on the international arts scene. Recognised as one of the most influential figures in art, fashion and performance during the 1980s and 1990s, Bowery’s story is a powerful reminder of the creativity that can emerge from our community.
